
Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025
The District Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025 was successfully organized today at DIET, Gyalshing, under the banner of NSS in collaboration with NYK, Gyalshing ,bringing together enthusiastic trainees from ITI Gyalshing and DIET Gyalshing.
The event aimed to provide a platform for young minds to engage in discussions on governance, policy-making, and developmental issues, fostering leadership and critical thinking skills. A total of 25 trainees from ITI Gyalshing, accompanied by two faculty and 47 trainees from DIET Gyalshing actively participated in the program.
The central topic of discussion was “One Nation, One Vote,” a significant electoral reform proposal aimed at synchronizing elections across the country. Participants debated its potential benefits, such as reducing election-related expenses, ensuring policy continuity, and minimizing disruptions in governance. They also critically examined the challenges, including the logistical complexities of implementing a unified election cycle and its impact on federalism. The competition was judged by a distinguished panel of judges Mr. Yushup Biswa from ITI Gyalshing, Miss Esha Gurung and Miss Pema Bhutia from Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Kyongsha, Mrs. Matrika Thapa and Miss Pre Hangma Limboo from DIET Gyalshing.
The trainees eloquently presented their perspectives, demonstrating a deep understanding of democratic processes. After rigorous deliberation, 10 trainees were selected to advance to the next level of the competition. The event was a significant step towards encouraging youth participation in nation-building, promoting democratic awareness, and empowering young leaders with the confidence to contribute to the country’s progress.
